The settlement through consultation is entirely based on the voluntary behavior of the parties concerned, so it will not hurt each other's kinship after settlement, and it is also conducive to the rapid and thorough settlement of disputes.
 2. Mediation by the People's Mediation Committee
 After a dispute over succession has arisen, if the parties concerned fail to reach an agreement through consultation, it may be mediated by a people's mediation committee.
 3. Litigation.
 After a dispute over inheritance has arisen, if no agreement can be reached through consultation, a lawsuit may be brought in a people's court.

 According to Article 15 of the Inheritance Law, the time, method and share of the inheritance division shall be determined by the heirs through consultation. If the consultation fails, the people's mediation committee may mediate or bring a lawsuit to the people's court.
