If it is verified that the information disclosed by the criminal is not a fact or cannot be proved or does not belong to a criminal act, then it is not considered that the criminal has performed meritorious service. Another form of performance of meritorious service is to provide important clues so that other cases can be solved.
The so-called provision of important clues means that criminals provide the judicial organ with important criminal clues that are not mastered by the judicial organ, that is, important facts or relevant witnesses to prove criminal acts.
