The insured employees can enjoy maternity insurance benefits according to regulations when they meet the following conditions at the same time: (1) comply with the national, provincial and municipal family planning policies; (2) When giving birth or carrying out family planning operations, the employer has cumulatively paid for the employees for more than one year and continues to pay for them.
Article 54 of the Social Insurance Law stipulates that if an employer has paid maternity insurance premiums, its employees shall enjoy maternity insurance benefits; Unemployed spouses of employees shall enjoy maternity medical expenses in accordance with national regulations. The required funds are paid from the maternity insurance fund. Maternity insurance benefits include maternity medical expenses and maternity allowances. 2. For prenatal examination fees and production costs, the party concerned shall carry the marriage certificate, social security card (citizen card) and the family planning certificate issued by the street to the designated hospital of maternity insurance to directly swipe the card for settlement. 3. To apply for maternity allowance and one-time nutrition allowance, it is necessary to fill in the Declaration Form of Maternity Insurance Benefits and affix the official seal of the unit, provide marriage certificate, one-child certificate (for children), discharge summary and other materials, and go to the Maternity Department of the Municipal Medical Insurance Center to go through the declaration procedures on the working days between the 1st and 10th of each month. (Relevant procedures should be handled within one year after delivery).
