The residence permit is free of charge. Application materials:
 1. The original and photocopy of my resident ID card;
 2. 2 recent bareheaded photos (1 inch color or black and white, light background);
 3. Original and photocopy of marriage and childbearing certificate of floating population;
 4. Certificate of fixed legal residence;
 5. Comprehensive social insurance certificate for more than half a year;
 6. Employment or investment business certificate. According to the relevant laws and regulations of China, when applying for a residence permit, you should submit your resident ID card, photo, address, employment, schooling and other supporting materials to the local police station or the community service agency entrusted by the public security organ.
 Legal basis
 Article 8 of the Interim Regulations on Residence Permit, the public security organ is responsible for the management of residence permit applications, such as acceptance, production, issuance and endorsement. Neighborhood committees, villagers' committees, employers, schools and house lessors shall assist in the acceptance and issuance of residence permits.
