The children born out of wedlock are called illegitimate children, and the following materials shall be provided for the household registration of illegitimate children:
 （1） Written application of the baby's father and mother.
 （2） The baby's parents' ID card and household register (original and copy), and illegitimate children do not need to provide marriage certificates.
 （3） The original and photocopy of the medical certificate of the birth of the baby or the paternity test certificate (the paternity test certificate must be issued for children born out of wedlock, and it shall be issued after the test by the appraisal institution designated by the public security organ).
 （4） The certificate of the residence (village) committee where the baby's father or mother's household registration is located or the police investigation certificate of the police station responsible area (with the official seal of the police station).
 （5） If one of the parents of the baby belongs to a non local household registration, the public security organ in the place where the non local household registration is registered shall issue the certificate of non settlement of the baby.
