What should social security employers do if they have stopped paying security for less than 15 years? Can they make up for it once? According to the national regulations, it is not allowed to make a one-time supplementary payment, which has specific provisions: Article 2 of the Several Provisions on the Implementation of the Social Insurance Law of the People's Republic of China, when an individual participating in the basic old-age insurance for employees reaches the statutory retirement age, if the cumulative payment is less than 15 years, the payment can be extended to 15 years. Before the implementation of the Social Insurance Law, if the insurance participation and payment extension are still less than 15 years after five years, the payment can be made in a lump sum up to 15 years. Article 3 After reaching the statutory retirement age, an individual participating in the basic old-age insurance for employees who has paid less than 15 years in total (including the extension of payment in accordance with the provisions of Article 2) may apply for a new type of rural social endowment insurance or urban residents' social endowment insurance in the place where his household registration is located, and enjoy the corresponding old-age insurance benefits. If an individual who has participated in the basic endowment insurance for employees reaches the statutory retirement age and has paid less than 15 years in total (including the extension of payment in accordance with the provisions of Article 2), and has not transferred to the new rural social endowment insurance or urban residents' social endowment insurance, the individual may apply in writing to terminate the basic endowment insurance relationship for employees. After receiving the application, the social insurance agency shall inform it in writing of its right to transfer to the new rural social endowment insurance or urban residents' social endowment insurance and the consequences of terminating the basic endowment insurance relationship of employees. After the written confirmation of the person, the social insurance agency shall terminate the basic endowment insurance relationship of employees and pay the deposit amount of personal account to the person in a lump sum.
