 Lawyers are supervised by lawyers' associations at all levels and judicial management organs at all levels. In order to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, let their litigation and non litigation affairs be dealt with and resolved in a timely, legal and reasonable manner, and let irresponsible lawyers, lawyers who damage their legitimate rights and interests, and lawyers who sell themselves bear corresponding responsibilities.
 How will lawyers be punished if they fail to appear in court on time and participate in the litigation without proper reasons after accepting the entrustment?
 According to the law, if a lawyer commits such an act, the judicial administration department of the people's government of a city divided into districts or a district directly under the Central Government will give a warning and may impose a fine of not more than 10000 yuan; The illegal gains, if any, shall be confiscated; If the circumstances are serious, he shall be given a punishment of suspending his practice for not less than three months but not more than six months.
 From the above description, we can know that not all lawyers are good lawyers, but there will also be some irresponsible lawyers. When we encounter such lawyers, we must find the relevant departments to complain, safeguard our legitimate rights and interests, and make these unscrupulous lawyers receive the punishment they deserve.
 Legal basis
 Article 4 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Lawyers The judicial administration department shall supervise and guide lawyers, law firms and lawyers associations in accordance with this Law.
 Article 46 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Lawyers The lawyers' association shall perform the following duties: (1) to ensure that lawyers practise according to law and safeguard their legitimate rights and interests; （2） Summarize and exchange lawyers' work experience; （3） Formulate industry norms and disciplinary rules; （4） To organize lawyers' professional training, professional ethics and practice discipline education, and to assess lawyers' practice activities; （5） To organize and manage the internship activities of the lawyers applying for practice, and to assess the interns; （6） Reward and punish lawyers and law firms; （7） Accepting complaints or reports against lawyers, mediating disputes arising from lawyers' practice activities, and accepting lawyers' complaints; （8） Other duties stipulated by laws, administrative regulations, rules and the articles of association of the Bar Association. The trade norms and disciplinary rules formulated by the lawyers association shall not contravene the relevant laws, administrative regulations and rules.
