 2. The victims and their close relatives should also pay attention to collecting evidence related to compensation, and pay attention to applying for relevant inspection and authentication in a timely manner.
 Article 74 of the Road Traffic Safety Law stipulates that the parties concerned may request the traffic management department of the public security organ to mediate a dispute over compensation for damage caused by a traffic accident, or may directly file a civil lawsuit with the people's court.
