Domestic violence is not a domestic matter, but an illegal act. I hope that every citizen or organization who finds that others are suffering from domestic violence should actively lend a helping hand by calling the police and reminding everyone who is suffering from domestic violence. When you are suffering from domestic violence, you should pay attention to these matters to minimize the harm:
 1、 Keep away from the kitchen, so that the aggressor will not hurt you with a sharp tool. Get close to the door and window and ask for help from neighbors and passers-by. Protect your head, face, chest, abdomen and other important parts of your body and hide in the room with a telephone.
 2、 First of all, it is necessary to report to the relevant institutions in a timely manner. According to the Anti Domestic Violence Law, the organization responsible for women and children's work of the people's government at or above the county level is responsible for organizing, coordinating, guiding and urging relevant departments to do a good job in combating domestic violence. Relevant departments of the people's governments at or above the county level, judicial organs, people's organizations, social organizations, neighborhood committees, villagers' committees, enterprises and institutions shall do a good job in combating domestic violence in accordance with the Anti Domestic Violence Law and relevant laws and regulations.
 3、 Direct reporting to the public security organ is also an important way to report domestic violence. The Anti Domestic Violence Law clearly stipulates that the public security organ should go to the police in a timely manner after receiving a report of domestic violence, stop domestic violence, investigate and collect evidence according to relevant regulations, and assist the victims to seek medical treatment and identify injuries.
 4、 Apply to the court for a writ of habeas corpus. The anti domestic violence law established the system of personal safety protection order for the first time. If a party applies to a people's court for an order of personal safety protection because of domestic violence or the real danger of domestic violence, the people's court shall accept the application.
 Article 43 of the Marriage Law of the People's Republic of China
 If a lover requests for domestic violence or maltreatment of family members, the public security organ shall impose administrative penalties in accordance with the law on administrative penalties for public security. ".
 Article 22 of the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Administrative Penalties for Public Security
 Whoever commits one of the following acts infringing upon the personal rights of others, which is not serious enough for criminal punishment, shall be detained for not more than 15 days, fined not more than 200 yuan or given a warning:
 （1） Ou beats others, causing slight injury
 （2） Illegally restricting others' personal freedom or illegally intruding into others' houses
 （3） Publicly insulting others or fabricating facts to slander others
 （4） Abusing family members, and the abused person requests to be dealt with
 （5） Writing threatening letters or using other methods to threaten others' safety or interfere with others' normal life
 （6） Coercing or inveigling a person under the age of 18 to perform terrorist or cruel shows and destroy his physical and mental health
 （7） Hiding, destroying, discarding or opening another person's mail or telegrams without authorization.
