No divorce certificate can be obtained with divorce mediation statement. The divorce mediation statement has the same legal effect as the divorce certificate. According to Article 89 of the Civil Procedure Law, when an agreement is reached through mediation, the people's court shall prepare a mediation statement. The mediation statement shall clearly state the claims, the facts of the case and the mediation results. The conciliation statement shall be signed by the judges and the court clerk, sealed by the people's court, and served on both parties. The mediation statement shall have legal effect once signed by both parties. The divorce certificate issued by the marriage registration authority has the same legal effect as the Divorce Mediation Statement or the Divorce Judgment made by the court, and is the legal certification document for the dissolution of the marriage relationship between the husband and wife. The Divorce Judgment or the Divorce Mediation Statement does not need to be replaced with a divorce certificate, but can independently prove the "divorce" status of the parties.
