The first thing to report should be facts, not subjective assumptions, that is to say, the informant should be responsible for the authenticity of the reported content. For drug abuse, the informant can report as long as he/she sees others taking drugs or is preparing to take drugs. Several ways to report drug abuse:
    1. For telephone reporting, the informant may call 110 or the reporting telephone number published by the public security organs at all levels.
    2. When reporting a visit, the informant can directly report to the public security organs at all levels.
    3. In case of letter reporting, the informant can write a letter and mail it to the drug control department of the public security organs at all levels of the province.
    4. In other ways, the informant can report to the public security organs at all levels by email, SMS, WeChat and other means. Public security organs at all levels throughout the province will strictly keep secrets for informants to ensure their personal and property safety.
According to Article 354 of the Criminal Law, those who commit this crime shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention or public surveillance, and shall also be fined. According to the provisions of Article 357 of the Criminal Law, those who have been sentenced for the crime of smuggling, trafficking, transporting, manufacturing or illegally holding drugs and have committed this crime again shall be given a heavier punishment.
Article 61 of the Drug Control Law of the People's Republic of China: Those who shelter others to ingest or inject drugs, if a crime is constituted, shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law; If the case does not constitute a crime, the public security organ shall detain him for not less than 10 days but not more than 15 days and may also impose a fine of not more than 10000 yuan; If the circumstances are relatively minor, he shall be detained for not more than five days or fined not more than 500 yuan.
