Ensure that the basic personal information is correct. The employer (school) can check the basic personal information through the online application system of human resources and social security of XX city or the business window of the social insurance agency; Non working personnel shall carry the original and copy of their valid ID cards to the streets (towns) under their jurisdiction to check their basic personal information. 2. Get a social security card. The in-service staff (students) can receive them through the unit (school); Non employees can get it from the streets (towns) under their jurisdiction. 3. Open social security card. After the insured gets the social security card, he/she must go to the corresponding bank window to open the social security card with the social security card and the original valid ID card. Minors need to be handled by the guardian with the social security card, the original valid ID card of the guardian, and the original account book.
 Legal basis
 Article 58 of the Full Text of the Social Insurance Law of the People's Republic of China The employing unit shall apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration for its employees within 30 days from the date of employment. If social insurance registration is not handled, the social insurance agency shall verify the social insurance premiums that should be paid.
 Individual businesses without employees who voluntarily participate in social insurance, part-time employees who do not participate in social insurance in the employing unit and other flexible employees shall apply to the social insurance agency for social insurance registration.
 The State shall establish a national unified personal social security number. The personal social security number is the citizen identity number.
