In the process of divorce, if compensation is involved, it must be the divorce damage compensation proposed by the non fault party due to the fault of one party. Otherwise, there is no compensation generally.
Legal basis
Article 1091 [Divorce Damages] of the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China has the right to claim damages if one of the following circumstances leads to divorce:
（1） Bigamy;
（2） Cohabitation with others;
（3） Domestic violence;
（4） Abuse or abandon family members;
（5） There are other major faults.
