（1） Procedures for registration of long-distance marriage
 1. Both men and women who require marriage registration shall present the required certificates to the marriage registration office of the civil affairs bureau (or town people's government) of the district or county people's government where one party's permanent residence is located.
 2. Both parties shall apply to the marriage registration authority in person and fill in the Declaration of Application for Marriage Registration.
 3. Both parties must sign or fingerprint in person in the "Declarer" column of the Declaration of Marriage Registration Application at the marriage registrar.
 4. The marriage registration authority shall examine the certificates and statements submitted by both parties and grant registration if they meet the conditions for marriage registration.
 （2） Certificate submitted for long-distance marriage registration
 1. My permanent residence booklet and resident ID card.
 2. A signed statement that I have no spouse and no direct blood relationship or collateral blood relationship within three generations with the other party.
 3. The party concerned submitted three recent 2-inch half length bareheaded color group photos.
 3、 Matters needing attention in handling marriage procedures in different places
 According to the opinion of the Ministry of Civil Affairs on several issues concerning the implementation of the Marriage Registration Regulations, if the party concerned is unable to issue the marriage registration authority, it can handle the marriage registration with the household registration certificate with the seal issued by the public security department or the relevant household registration management agency, The marriage registration authority can handle the marriage registration with its own household card in the collective household register or a copy of the household register with the official seal recording its household registration.

 Article 4
 When a mainland resident marries, both men and women shall go to the marriage registration office of the place where one party's permanent residence is located to register their marriage.
 If a Chinese citizen marries a foreigner in the mainland of China, or a mainland resident marries a Hong Kong resident, a Macao resident, a Taiwan resident, or an overseas Chinese in the mainland of China, both men and women shall jointly go to the marriage registration office in the place where the mainland resident's permanent residence is located to register their marriage.

 The marriage registration authority shall examine the certificates and certification materials issued by the parties to the marriage registration and inquire about the relevant information. If the parties meet the conditions for marriage, they shall be registered on the spot and issued a marriage certificate; If the party concerned does not meet the conditions for marriage and does not register, the reason shall be explained to the party concerned.
