    [Legal Opinion]
Bigamy crime refers to the act of marrying another person with a spouse or knowingly marrying another person with a spouse. The so-called spouse means that a man has a wife and a woman has a husband, and this kind of marital relationship is still in existence without legal procedures, that is, a person with a spouse is no longer a person with a spouse if the marital relationship has been dissolved, or the marital relationship has naturally disappeared due to the death of one spouse.
Even though you and your wife have lived apart for 3 years, your husband and wife relationship has not been dissolved. If you marry other people, you will be suspected of bigamy. It is recommended that you divorce your wife first and then marry someone else.
    [Legal Basis]
Article 258 of the Criminal Law: Whoever commits bigamy with a spouse, or knowingly marries another person with a spouse, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than two years or criminal detention.
