The following materials are required for obtaining a birth certificate:
1. Marriage certificate, ID card, original and photocopy of household registration book, and two wedding photos. In case of unmarried birth or adoption, hold the birth certificate or adoption certificate of the baby;
2. Both husband and wife go to the family planning department of their respective places of residence to get the marriage and childbearing certificate of one child, which shall be sealed by the village committee or neighborhood committee.
3. Take all the certificates and the hospital diagnosis certificate of pregnancy to the women's family planning department to apply for a birth permit.
4. After the baby is born, he/she will take a birth permit to the hospital for registration. The hospital will give him/her a birth certificate. After the baby's name is taken, he/she will take the certificate to the family planning department for registration. The family planning department will give the birth certificate to the hospital, and take both sides to the public security bureau with their household registration books, ID cards and certificates for household registration.
Legal basis
Article 8 of the Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Implementing the Comprehensive Two child Policy Reform and Improving the Management of Family Planning Services reforms the management system of family planning services. The birth registration service system shall be implemented. For those who have no more than two children (including two), the approval shall not be carried out, and the family shall arrange the birth independently. We will improve the management of reproduction in cases such as remarriage. Optimize the process of handling affairs, simplify the procedures, comprehensively implement online handling, and further simplify administration and facilitate people. Investigate and deal with multiple births outside the policy according to laws and regulations.
