According to the provisions of Articles 95 and 90 of the Road Traffic Safety Law, the handling of not carrying a driver's license is as follows: no matter whether the driver is driving illegally or not, the driver is not allowed to drive the vehicle again. The traffic management department of the public security organ shall detain the motor vehicle and inform the driver to provide a driver's license. Then, according to the conditions of the driver's providing the driver's license, deal with them separately: 1. If the driver has provided the driver's license, if there is no other violation of the law when driving, give a warning or a fine of more than 20 yuan but less than 200 yuan, and return the motor vehicle in time; 2. If the driver has provided a driver's license, he/she will be punished according to his/her illegal situation and if he/she does not carry the driver's license with him/her, and the motor vehicle will be returned in time; 3. If the driver fails to provide a driving license, he will be punished for driving without a license.
