The Marriage Law has been abolished by the Civil Code, which stipulates that parents cannot interfere with their children's marriage. Marriage shall be a matter of complete voluntariness on the part of both men and women. Neither party is allowed to force the other, and no organization or individual is allowed to interfere. Children or other relatives shall not interfere in the divorce, remarriage and married life of the elderly. No one or organization can interfere with the freedom of marriage as stipulated by the law. Violent interference in others' freedom of marriage may be suspected of crime.

    [Legal Basis]

Article 1046 of the Civil Code states that marriage shall be a matter of the complete voluntariness of both men and women, and neither party is allowed to force the other party, nor is any organization or individual allowed to interfere.
