If the marriage certificate is lost, the divorce can be carried out after the marriage certificate is reissued.
 Marriage certificate is required for both agreement divorce and litigation divorce. The procedure for reissuing a marriage certificate is as follows:
 The marriage registration authority shall reissue the marriage certificate for the party concerned in accordance with the procedure of preliminary examination acceptance examination certificate issuance.
 1. The party concerned personally submits an application to the marriage registration authority
 2. Fill in the Declaration of Application for Renewal of Marriage Registration Certificate
 3. The party concerned shall provide corresponding certificates and supporting materials
 4. The marriage registrar shall examine the certificates, certificates and statements submitted by the parties, and fill in the Examination and Handling Form for Reissue of Marriage Registration Certificate if the conditions are met.
 5. Issue marriage certificate.
 The following materials shall be provided for the reissue:
 1. ID cards and account books of both parties;
 2. The marriage certificate is lost;
 3. Marriage file certificate.

 In Article 17 of the Marriage Registration Regulations, if the marriage certificate or divorce certificate is lost or damaged, the party concerned may apply to the original marriage registration authority or the marriage registration authority in the place where one party's permanent residence is located for a replacement with the household register and ID card. The marriage registration authority shall verify the marriage registration files of the parties and, if it is confirmed to be true, shall reissue the marriage certificate and divorce certificate for the parties.
