New rules for running a red light: a vehicle can only run a red light when it crosses the stop line, then drives to the intersection, and then passes the entire intersection.  Legal basis
 Article 44 of the Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, if there are more than two motorways in the same direction of the road, the left side is the fast lane and the right side is the slow lane. Motor vehicles running in the fast lane shall run at the speed specified in the fast lane, and those failing to reach the speed specified in the fast lane shall run in the slow lane. Motorcycles should run in the rightmost lane. If there are traffic signs indicating the driving speed, the driver shall drive at the indicated speed. When the motor vehicle in the slow lane passes the vehicle in front, it can use the fast lane to drive.
 If there are more than two motor vehicle lanes in the same direction of the road, the motor vehicle changing the lane shall not affect the normal operation of the motor vehicle driving in the relevant lane.
