    Materials required for registration:
    1. Household register;
    2. ID card;
    3. Proof of marital status and ability to support and educate the adoptee;
    4. A health certificate issued by a medical institution at or above the county level that the child is not suffering from a disease that is considered medically unacceptable for adoption;
    5. Picking is certified;
    6. The abandoned baby certificate issued by the local police station where the abandoned baby was found;
    7. Relevant certificates issued by the municipal family planning department. Procedures for registration of adoption
    (1) The civil affairs department of the people's government at the county level handles the registration of domestic adoption, as follows:
    1. The adoption of abandoned infants, children and orphans raised by social welfare institutions whose parents cannot be found shall be registered with the adoption registration authority in the place where the social welfare institution is located.
    2. The adoption of abandoned infants and children not supported by social welfare institutions whose parents cannot be found shall be registered with the adoption registration authority at the place where the abandoned infants and children were found.
    3. Where a child whose parents have special difficulties and are unable to support him or her or an orphan who is under the guardianship of his or her guardian is admitted, registration shall be made with the adoption registration authority at the place where the parents or guardians of the adopted person have their permanent residence (if the organization acts as a guardian, it shall be in the place where the organization is located).
    4. Where a child who is a collateral blood relative of the same generation within three generations is adopted, or a stepfather or stepmother adopts a stepchild, registration shall be handled with the adoption registration authority in the place where the adoptee's father or mother's permanent residence is located.
    (2) Adoption registration procedure
    1. The adopter and the person placing out the child for adoption reach an agreement;
    2. Because there are many types of adoption, the procedures are complex, and the conditions and required documents are different. Please consult the county civil affairs department with jurisdiction over what kind of adoption registration you are going to handle;
    3. After receiving the application for adoption registration and relevant materials, the adoption registration authority shall conduct examination within 30 days from the next day. If the conditions prescribed in the Adoption Law are met, the adoptive relationship shall be established from the date of registration after the registration of the adoptive relationship is completed and an adoption registration certificate is issued to the party concerned.
