    Yes, in general, if an employee is re employed in the local area after leaving his/her job, the original unit should go through the formalities for sealing the housing provident fund for the employee, and then the agent of the unit should go to the collection business agency to go through the transfer formalities through the online service hall (unit version) or in person.
    If there is no re employment after leaving, the following two methods can be used:
    First, transfer to centralized sealed accounts for centralized management, and the procedures are basically the same as those for local reemployment of employees;
    Second, for those who meet the conditions of "termination of labor relationship between non registered permanent residence employees and the unit", they can apply for withdrawal from account cancellation.
    Legal basis:
    Article 25 of the Regulations on the Administration of Housing Provident Fund: If an employee withdraws the deposit balance in the housing provident fund account, his/her unit shall verify it and issue a withdrawal certificate. Employees shall apply to the Housing Provident Fund Management Center for withdrawal of housing provident fund with the withdrawal certificate. The Housing Provident Fund Management Center shall, within 3 days from the date of accepting the application, make a decision on whether to allow or not to withdraw, and notify the applicant; If the withdrawal is approved, the entrusted bank shall handle the payment procedures.
