Parents with a record should not be soldiers. If parents are subject to criminal punishment, their children cannot be enlisted, and having criminal records has an impact on their children's enlistment or application for civil service examinations. The bottom of a case generally refers to the record of a person's past violations of the law or criminal acts. Once the parents have a criminal record, when their children are in the military for political trial and need to review their parents' materials, their children will fail in the political trial because of their parents' record. Therefore, the fact that parents have a record has a great impact on their children's enlistment.

    Legal basis

Article 14 of the Military Service Law of the People's Republic of China During the period of enlistment, citizens eligible for enlistment shall, in accordance with the notice of the military service organs of counties, autonomous counties, cities or municipal districts, go to the designated physical examination stations on time for physical examination. Citizens eligible for enlistment meet the conditions for active service and have passed through the military service organs of counties, autonomous counties, cities and municipal districts.

Article 13 of the Military Service Law of the People's Republic of China, the State implements a military service registration system. Every year, male citizens who have reached the age of 18 by December 31 should register for military service by June 30 of the same year, as arranged by the military service organs of counties, autonomous counties, cities and municipal districts. Those who have registered for military service and passed the preliminary examination are called citizens eligible for enlistment.

Article 15 of the Military Service Law of the People's Republic of China Every year, male citizens who have reached the age of 18 by December 31 shall register for their first military service in the same year according to the arrangements of the military service organs. State organs, public organizations, enterprises and institutions, and the people's governments of townships, nationality townships, and towns shall, according to the arrangements of the military service organs of the people's governments of counties, autonomous counties, cities not divided into districts, and municipal districts, be responsible for organizing male citizens of appropriate age in their own units and administrative regions to register for the first time for military service. The initial military service registration can be carried out by means of online registration or on-site registration at the military service registration station (point). For military service registration, personal information shall be filled in truthfully.

Article 16 of the Military Service Law of the People's Republic of China, if citizens who have registered for their initial military service but have not performed active service meet the conditions for reserve service, the military service organs of the people's governments of counties, autonomous counties, cities not divided into districts, or municipal districts may, as necessary, register them for reserve service.

Article 17 of the Military Service Law of the People's Republic of China, a soldier discharged from active service shall, within 40 days from the date of his discharge from active service, and an officer discharged from active service shall, within 30 days from the date of determining the place of resettlement, make changes in military service registration information at the military service organ of the people's government of the county, autonomous county, city not divided into districts, or municipal district where he is to be resettled; Where the requirements for reserve service are met and the unit determines that it is necessary to register for reserve service, it shall also register for reserve service.
