Where a testamentary successor dies before the decedent, the portion of the estate shall be handled in accordance with statutory succession, that is, it shall be inherited by the legal successor of the decedent, but not by the successor of the original testamentary successor. According to Article 11 of the Inheritance Law, "If the children of the decedent die before the decedent, they shall be inherited by subrogation by the lineal descendants of the decedent's children. (5) An estate that has not been disposed of by a will.
