    Where a testamentary successor dies before the decedent, the portion of the estate shall be handled in accordance with statutory succession, that is, it shall be inherited by the legal successor of the decedent, but not by the successor of the original testamentary successor. According to Article 11 of the Inheritance Law, "If the children of the decedent die before the decedent, they shall be inherited by subrogation by the lineal descendants of the decedent's children. Relevant laws can be referred to: Under any of the following circumstances in Article 27 of the Inheritance Law of the People's Republic of China, the relevant part of the estate shall be handled in accordance with statutory succession:
    (1) A testamentary successor abandons inheritance or a legatee abandons legacy;
    (2) The testamentary successor loses the right of inheritance;
    (3) A testamentary successor or legatee dies before the testator;
    (4) The estate involved in the invalid part of the will;
    (5) An estate that has not been disposed of by a will.
