The process of changing the name in the police station mainly includes application, certification, seal, printing a new account book, etc. The specific operations are as follows:
 1. Write the application for renaming;
 2. Go to the street or unit to issue a certificate. If you are a student, go to the school to issue a certificate. You only need to prove that you are a student of our school.
 3. Apply for name change at the household registration department where the residence is located and fill in the name change application form, which needs to be stamped with the special seal for household registration, signed by the police in the segment, and signed by the director;
 4. Sign at the county household registration department;
 5. Notarization: it is required to notarize the name change of a citizen over the age of 16;
 6. Go to the Household Registration Department of the Municipal Public Security Bureau to sign, and there is no such step if you are under the age of 16;
 7. Go back to the local household registration department to print a new household registration book.
 Legal basis
 Article 18 of the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Household Registration, the change of a citizen's name shall be handled in accordance with the following provisions:
 （1） When a person under the age of 18 needs to change his or her name, he or her parents or the adopter shall apply to the household registration authority for registration of change;
 （2） When a person over the age of 18 needs to change his or her name, he or she shall apply to the household registration authority for change of registration.
