    After the marriage certificate is reissued, divorce registration can be handled at the marriage registration office.
    According to the Marriage Registration Ordinance:
    Article 10 If a mainland resident wishes to divorce, both men and women shall jointly go to the marriage registration office in the place where one party's permanent residence is located to register for divorce.
    If Chinese citizens and foreigners divorce voluntarily in the mainland of China, and mainland residents divorce voluntarily with Hong Kong residents, Macao residents, Taiwan residents, and overseas Chinese in the mainland of China, both men and women shall jointly go to the marriage registration authority in the place where the permanent residence of mainland residents is located to register for divorce.
    Article 11 Mainland residents who have gone through divorce registration shall present the following certificates and supporting materials:
    (1) My household register and ID card
    (2) My marriage certificate
    (3) A divorce agreement signed by both parties.
    Hong Kong residents, Macao residents, Taiwan residents, overseas Chinese and foreigners who have gone through divorce registration shall, in addition to the certificates and certification materials specified in sub paragraphs (2) and (3) of the preceding paragraph, Hong Kong residents, Macao residents and Taiwan residents shall also issue their own valid passes, identity cards, overseas Chinese Foreigners shall also produce their own valid passports or other valid international travel documents.
    The divorce agreement shall state the intention of both parties to divorce voluntarily and the consensus on matters such as child rearing, property and debt disposal.
    Conditions for reissue of lost marriage certificate
    1、 If the marriage certificate is lost or damaged, the party concerned may apply to the original marriage registration authority or the marriage registration authority in the place where one party's permanent residence is located for a replacement with the household register and ID card
    2、 The party concerned has registered marriage according to law and still maintains this status today
    3、 Both parties shall apply to the marriage registration authority in person. If they cannot do so in person for some reason, they can entrust others to handle the application. The notarized copy of the party's ID card and the power of attorney shall be submitted for the entrustment. The power of attorney shall indicate the time when the party handled the marriage registration, the undertaking authority, the current marital status, the reason for entrustment, the name and ID card number of the entrusted person, The entrusted person shall submit his own identity card at the same time.
    Article 17 of the Marriage Registration Regulations stipulates that if the marriage certificate or divorce certificate is lost or damaged, the party concerned may apply to the original marriage registration authority or the marriage registration authority in the place where one party's permanent residence is located for a replacement with his household register or ID card. The marriage registration authority shall verify the marriage registration files of the parties and, if it is confirmed to be true, shall reissue the marriage certificate and divorce certificate for the parties.
