Maternity insurance cannot be reimbursed when buying social insurance in self-employed households. One of the main conditions for the insured population of maternity insurance is that employees who have established labor relations with employers, including male employees, should participate in maternity insurance. If an individual pays social insurance, he or she is self-employed or self-employed, he or she is not allowed to participate in maternity insurance, and therefore cannot be reimbursed. According to the relevant provisions of China's laws and regulations, payment units and individuals shall pay social insurance premiums in full in monetary form, and social insurance premiums shall not be reduced or exempted.
Legal basis
Article 12 of the Interim Regulations on the Collection and Payment of Social Insurance Premiums, the payment units and individuals shall pay the social insurance premiums in full in monetary form. The social insurance premiums that should be paid by the individual payer shall be withheld and remitted by the unit to which he belongs from his own salary.
