    Generally, the people's court in the place where the decedent has his or her domicile at the time of death or where the main estate is located shall have jurisdiction over the court of inheritance jurisdiction.
    According to the Civil Procedure Law
    Article 33 Exclusive jurisdiction
    The following cases shall be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the people's courts as stipulated in this article:
    (1) A lawsuit brought on a real estate dispute shall be under the jurisdiction of the people's court in the place where the real estate is located;
    (2) A lawsuit brought on a dispute arising from port operations shall be under the jurisdiction of the people's court in the place where the port is located;
    (3) A lawsuit brought on a dispute over inheritance shall be under the jurisdiction of the people's court of the place where the decedent has his domicile at the time of death or where the main estate is located.
    According to Article 8 of the Inheritance Law, limitation of action
    The time limit for bringing a suit in respect of a dispute over the right of succession is two years, counting from the date on which the successor knew or should have known that his rights had been violated. However, if more than 20 years have elapsed since the beginning of succession, no further legal proceedings may be instituted.
