Unemployment benefits can not be obtained when leaving for personal reasons.
The condition for applying for unemployment compensation is that the employee leaves the job because the employer voluntarily cancels the labor contract. If the employee leaves the job for personal reasons, it belongs to the employee who voluntarily cancels the labor contract and cannot apply for unemployment compensation.
If an unemployed person dies during the period of receiving unemployment insurance compensation, a one-off funeral subsidy and pension shall be given to his or her survivors with reference to the local regulations on the death of in-service workers. The required funds are paid from the unemployment insurance fund. If an individual dies and at the same time meets the requirements for receiving basic endowment insurance funeral subsidies, work-related injury insurance funeral subsidies and unemployment insurance funeral subsidies, his or her family members can only choose to receive one of them.
Legal basis
Article 5 of the Full Text of the Social Insurance Law of the People's Republic of China, the people's governments at or above the county level incorporate social insurance undertakings into their national economic and social development plans.
The state raises social insurance funds through multiple channels. The people's governments at or above the county level shall give necessary financial support to social insurance undertakings.
The State supports social insurance through preferential tax policies.
