Married men and unmarried women who live together in the name of husband and wife may be suspected of bigamy. Bigamy crime refers to the act of marrying another person with a spouse or knowingly marrying another person with a spouse.
Article 258 of the Criminal Law stipulates that anyone who has a spouse and bigamy, or knowingly marries another person who has a spouse, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than two years or criminal detention.
