Construction method of slope protection brick:
1. Excavate the foundation pit along the edge, fill the pit bottom with appropriate materials and compact it, masonry the upper and lower edge baffles, and build the top elevation of the baffle to be level with the bottom elevation of the interlocking slope protection;
2. Lay geotextile or graded crushed stone on the completed foundation surface;
3. Three rows of interlocking slope protection bricks are interlocked and laid from the lower edge. The length direction of the bricks is reversed along the water flow direction. The bricks along the lower edge are generally laid into the toe wall and anchored to the rubble or concrete toe wall. The lower edge of the second row of interlocking bricks along the lower edge intersects the toe wall;
4. Masonry the toe wall along the lower edge, use concrete or rubble concrete to masonry the rest of the toe wall together with the interlocking bricks anchored into the toe wall, so that the toe wall meets the design requirements;
5. Lay other retaining bricks from the lower left corner, and the laying direction shall be parallel to the toe wall, instead of perpendicular to the toe wall, so as to prevent cumulative errors from affecting the laying quality.
6. Lay the interlocking bricks in the upper wall, and build the upper wall, so that some of the interlocking bricks on the upper wall are anchored to the upper wall. During the color treatment of the interlocking brick surface, remove the floating ash and other sundries and pollution on the surface of the interlocking bricks. If it is necessary to wash with water, it can be washed with water, and color treatment can be carried out after the water is dry;
7. Filling brick holes and joints with dry sand, crushed stone or soil;
8. In order to form a corner or straight edge, a toothless saw can be used to cut slope protection bricks to obtain the corresponding specifications and angles.
