Project Details

They are a "soldier". During the 14 years of the War of Resistance against Japan, millions of them ran on the battlefield, their blood soaked every inch of land, carrying mountains and rivers on their shoulders, supporting the 76 year victory of the War of Resistance against Japan.

Today, they have a common name - Anti Japanese Veterans.

They once only had to draw the bow and bend the arrow, but they had a patriotism regardless of life and death.



For 12 years, we dare not slack off for a moment, because the veterans with an average age of 98 are leaving at any time.

In the past 12 years, many changes have been made:

More than 7000 anti Japanese veterans were found and their stories were spread;

More than 2300 veterans no longer worry about meals and live a decent and dignified life;

More than ten thousand imperfect but carefully prepared calendars were sent to the surviving veterans year after year, from which they saw what they looked like in those days;

More than 5800 winter clothes marked "National Backbone of Veterans of the Anti Japanese War" were worn by the veterans, who were even reluctant to take them off, waiting eagerly for their clothes to dry after washing each time;

Every Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid Autumn Festival, holiday gift money and salute gift bags are sent to veterans across the mountains and mountains to convey 11.05 million warmth and respect from loving netizens, and tell them with actions that there are a group of people in the world who never forget them. We all remember every drop of blood they have passed for this country.



How many visits can melt ice and snow



Du Chunyun, 97 years old, joined the army in 1942 and worked as a heavy machine gunner in the 14th Division Machine Gun Company of the Second Cavalry Army. In the summer and autumn of 1944, he once blocked the Japanese attack in Fuyang East. The next day of the battle, his arm was pierced by bullets, and was wounded and unconscious by the enemy's shells. When he woke up, his right arm was seriously injured by the explosion. The scars left in the war are still clearly visible, and the right hand that cannot be raised testifies to his once heroic.

In July 2016, we found Grandpa Du and established a file for him. We provided him with monthly financial aid to improve his living and treatment conditions. In the past, my grandfather was always silent and kept away from others. But after years of company, he became as close as a family member to us. Every time he visited, his smile never faded from his face. Although grandpa's right hand was disabled, he was no longer worried about it, became more optimistic than before, and insisted on taking care of his own daily life.


A letter from home makes many veterans cry


According to Lin Shengchuan, 103 years old, in 1939, the Japanese army launched a large-scale attack in Chaozhou, dropping bombs continuously, collapsing houses, damaging roads, and injuring people who fled everywhere. After witnessing all this, Grandpa Lin decided to join the army, apply for the Huangpu Military Academy, become a soldier, and defend the country.  

Grandfather Lin has always been gentle in the impression of volunteers. He used to be very happy when he visited him. But when he sent him a gift package for the 75th anniversary of the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he became very serious when he listened to us reading home letters. He sat up and looked directly at us, with tears flashing in his eyes. He could not speak for a long time. For this belated respect, Grandpa seemed to cherish it very much.   


Warm their few old age

For 12 years, we have raced against time for history, memory, inheritance and love;

For twelve years, we tried our best to make the veterans of the Anti Japanese War feel the warmth of the world in the last years of their lives;

In the past 12 years, we have tried our best to let every veteran of the Anti Japanese War spend every sunrise and sunset, every spring, summer, autumn and winter with dignity for the rest of his life.

They, with an average age of 98, will leave us and the world forever in the next ten years. They will take an era, an era where humiliation and glory coexist.

The purpose of the Anti Japanese War Veterans Support Action is to improve the living and medical conditions of the anti Japanese war veterans, provide comfort to the veterans from the spiritual and material aspects, and warm the future of the few veterans. 1. In the second half of 2023, the donations from the love netizens of Sina WeChat public welfare platform will be used to distribute life support funds to 15 veterans of the Anti Japanese War in Guangdong, Sichuan and Yunnan, with a total of 76 person times of 76000 yuan. Last week, we continuously received the weather forecast news that there will be heavy rain in many places in North China. I never expected that this heavy rain would be so fierce. On the evening of the 19th, the hot search list kept updating the news of rainstorm and flood in Henan. When we opened the microblog, the screen was full of distress news and rescue videos, which could not help but make us worried - how are the veterans in Henan? The Charity Fund for Caring for Anti Japanese Veterans in Henan funded a total of 65 anti Japanese veterans, including 14 in Zhumadian City, 13 in Pingdingshan City, 8 in Xuchang City, 12 in Luohe City, 8 in Luoyang City, 5 in Nanyang City, 3 in Yanshi City, and 1 in Xingyang City and Dengfeng City respectively. Most of the veterans live in towns or villages, where communication is not convenient and rescue resources and manpower are not necessarily sufficient. The safety of the veterans always affects our hearts. In the early morning of July 21, we got in touch with volunteers from all over Henan, and received information about the funding of veterans from various volunteer teams. At the same time, we also contacted the families of veterans and asked about the disaster situation of each veteran's home. As of 4:00 p.m., 65 veterans, veterans' families and volunteer partners in Henan were all well! This sudden flood once again makes us feel the insignificance of human beings before the disaster. However, it is not difficult to see the figures of the people who rushed to the front line in the flood.
