In 2009, Japan IPA Release two IPA fonts in accordance with the IPA Open Font License Terms defined by Open Source Initiative, including IPA Mingti (IPA Ming Dynasty) and IPA Blackti (IPA ゴ シ ッ ク) 。 The font is derived from two fonts designed by Takao Hayashi: TypeBank "TB clear" and "TB bold". The font contains commonly used Japanese characters for Japanese users.

Later, after years of continuous repair and revision, the "IPA body" was expanded to 「 IPAex clear body 」 、 「 IPAmj exposed body 」 。 At present, there are many Chinese fonts derived from IPAmj, such as IPA Nanhong Mingti 、 "A little light" And so on to adapt to the Chinese use environment. Among them, "Yidianmingti", which focuses on "inherited font", has completed the commonly used traditional characters, Minnan characters, Hakka pragmatic characters, Cantonese characters and simplified characters within the scope of GB 2312.

The boldface part is officially expanded to "IPAex boldface". Although the number of characters in "IPAex bold" has met the needs of the Japanese, there are still some Chinese characters to be completed to make it suitable for Chinese. At present, there are few Chinese fonts derived from IPAex boldface, and a large number of simplified characters and some commonly used traditional characters are lacking.

(I have successively used Founder Youhei and Siyuan Blackface to complete this font as a mobile phone font, but Founder Youhei is a copyrighted font, which requires authorization for commercial use, while Siyuan Blackface also has a certain sense of compromise, and is incompatible with the IPA series font licensing method.)

In view of this, and in order to link the "one point clear style", I started this plan to complete the commonly used simplified and traditional Chinese characters in the "IPAex bold style" to make it suitable for the Chinese use environment.

This font is IPAex bold On the basis of the original "IPAex boldface", the Chinese cultural transformation of the original "IPAex boldface" uses the original components and pen shapes to complement the missing Chinese characters. Due to the influence of "one point clear font", combined with the original style of the font, the font is made into an old font (some parts refer to 「 Inheritance font component calibration table 」 ） (For new font styles, see Haze duck, new and clear black ） 。 At present, simplified characters corresponding to traditional characters in the original font and all Chinese characters within the scope of GB 2312 have been completed (6763 in simplified Chinese) All Chinese characters within the scope of GB 12345 (6866 in traditional Chinese) , "General Chinese Character List" Chinese characters (8105 in simplified Chinese) 4808 commonly used Chinese characters stipulated by Taiwan's education department to meet the general use needs of traditional and simplified Chinese characters.

Because the font is clear and suitable for the screen, it is named "Clear black" 。 It contains two word weights: Regular and Book. Regular is the weight of the original font, and Book is thicker than Regular, which is more suitable for screen reading.

I am not a professional designer, and I did not consider the beauty of design, so the structure may look slightly ugly, and the words added may be slightly incompatible with the original; In addition, due to time constraints, there is no extra time for fine trimming, and the splicing of parts of some characters will be very stiff.
