My mother is an English teacher. Since the first grade, she has been educated by her mother. She began to learn the spelling of English letters, English standards and words. I learned quickly and the English standards were issued accurately. Soon I could read words, sentences and memorize words independently. So since the second semester of the first grade, I have been reciting ten English words every day. So far, I have memorized the second volume of the second day of junior high school, so I am confident in every English exam, and I did well every time. I was unanimously recognized by my classmates and teachers, so I felt a little elated. But in this year's final exam, because of my pride and complacency, I tasted the taste of failure.

Before the final exam, the students all said, "Oh, no, we won't take the English exam. What should we do? If only we could be as smart as Zhang Rongxi." After hearing these words, I was very proud and said, "I can't even do these things. How stupid! Look at me." When the exam was handed out, I saw that the question was so simple that I could finish it with a few strokes, Some students also wanted to copy mine. I carelessly checked the paper and covered it, thinking, "See how you copy me." I was full of disdain and contempt for them at that time.

A few days later, the exam papers came out. When I saw my own results, I couldn't help being very sad. I only got 94 points! It was the lowest score since I began to learn English. I thought to myself, "What's wrong with me?" After thinking for a long time, I finally knew: 1. I was too proud. Guan Yu lost Jingzhou - pride will defeat; 2. You should not write so fast during the exam. You should write slowly; 3. I should not check once, but check several times more. If the students copy me, I can tell the teacher! After knowing what I had done wrong, I went home happily.

In the future, I will certainly get rid of these shortcomings and mistakes, take each exam seriously, so that I can live up to expectations in all exams, show my true level, get satisfactory results, and never taste the taste of failure again!
