Ruskin once said, "Civilization is to cultivate cultured people." In this summer vacation, I had a good experience of the fun of being a small messenger of civilization.

In the scorching July, the volunteer teachers of Dengzhou Community Third Class and the workers of Dengzhou Community organized a community cleaning activity for us. I came to the volunteer base early to wait for the teacher to release the task. When everyone arrived, we received the volunteers' red clothes and cleaning tools. The teacher also divided the area for everyone. After the division, I was eager to try.

Terrible is that my area is a garbage disaster area. At first, I cleaned like a headless fly, but my physical strength was getting worse and worse, so I had to sit on the wooden chair for passers-by to rest breathlessly. I realized that I could not clean without plan, and everything depended on my brain. I began to plan my work and thought for a while, I have a clue.

First, I cleaned the garbage outside, row by row, just like a lawn mower, and soon cleaned up the garbage outside, but I was also tired and sweated. After the break, I began to pick up garbage again. When I got to the innermost layer, I could not move some chewing gum, so I had to slowly pull the chewing gum from my shoes with a fork and throw it away. Along the way, I saw several more chewing gum. In the face of these "chewing gum army", I had to play my "invincible palm".

I don't know how long it took me to get my hands red and swollen with these gums, but I didn't stop working. Finally, these "gums army" were wiped out by my perseverance. After cleaning, I felt relieved! Later, we had a personal contest. After weighing the garbage, I won the first place. It seems that there are good fruits to eat with such efforts. It tastes really sweet!

Civilization is right beside us, very close to us, even within reach. Let's strive to be small messengers of civilization, and embrace the bright future of civilization!
