Just captured several demons, and then subdued them. This is the journey to the west that we have learned, seen and read. Although it is very old-fashioned, I still like it.

Today, I read Journey to the West, one of the four ancient classics. This masterpiece was written by an ancient man named Wu Chengen. Let's introduce him first. Wu Chengen, known as Ruzhong, is a Sheyang Shanren, a Shanyang (now Huai'an, Jiangsu) native. He was elected in 1550, the 45th year of Jiajing (1566), the county magistrate of Changxing, Zhejiang Province, and in his later years, he was also appointed as a good writer in Jingwang Mansion.

The stories of gods, Buddhas, demons and demons have a creative system and accumulated rich artistic experience in China, and are also influenced by foreign, mainly Indian Buddhist literature. In addition to the fact that immortals and ghosts are the products of ancient primitive religions, immortals and ghosts have been invented by alchemists, Taoists, artists, folk artists and scholars since the Qin and Han Dynasties. The artistic fiction of Journey to the West is based on the traditional artistic experience and the religious concepts and customs of this society, but also incorporates the author's own likes and dislikes. In people's traditional concept, immortals are the embodiment of justice, but in Journey to the West, Wu Chengen treats God and evil equally. The Jade Emperor, the Supreme Lord, and the Western Buddha Sakyamuni are all targets of ridicule. Many evil spirits are amiable, human, and sympathetic. Monkey King is the most prominent one. It is a demon monkey in the mouth of the Jade Emperor, and is not recognized by the heaven. But it is frank and lovely, and is not bound by the rules of heaven. In order to pursue freedom and equality, it does not hesitate to make havoc in the heaven, fight with the heaven, and fight with the gods. It is my favorite hero. In Journey to the West, Wu Chengen also created many funny characters, the most typical of which is Zhu Bajie, who is the most insincere person on the way to learn scriptures. He would always go back to Gaolaozhuang with his luggage. He also indulged in eating and sleeping, stole and played tricks. He made a lot of jokes along the way. He was a fool in the mouth of Monkey King, but this character was vividly written by Wu Chengen, Not only is it not annoying, but it is also endearing. The character I dislike most in this book is Tang Seng. He is a pedantic and useless man, who doesn't distinguish between good and evil, and doesn't distinguish between loyalty and treachery. In order to protect him, Sun Wukong has suffered a lot. However, he is often provoked by others. He doesn't go to investigate carefully, and always recites the "Tight Hoop Curse". He also drives Sun Wukong back to Huaguo Mountain. He hates him to death. However, there is something we can learn from him, that is, he goes forward bravely for his own ideals and pursuit.
