I will never forget the lingering time of Zongxiang.

When the Dragon Boat Festival came every year as promised, my parents would take me to Grandma's house to watch the summer. When the door opened, a burst of zongzi fragrance came to my nostrils, sweet, silent but filled with thick love.

A few beany sweat beads trickling down Grandma's side face were wiped away by the fog in the kitchen. It's always like this. Every New Year and holiday, she always keeps company with the steaming fog and makes friends with the stove. Perhaps because she was too busy or too lonely, she always pulled her innocent grandfather to cook together.

Grandma began to make dumplings. The bottom of the pot made a "buzzing" sound, and the water boiled. In the big pot, the glutinous rice was like a thick rain, and a large pot of glutinous rice was writhing in the fire.

After a while, Grandma breathed a sigh of relief and finally finished steaming. When she opened the lid of the pot, the thick rice fragrance diffused in the air and filled the whole family's laughter, making the taste of the Dragon Boat Festival more clear.

The glutinous rice just out of the pot is crystal clear, like the innocent faces of children, together, like white flowers unfolding.

But Grandma's action was not over yet. She took out the fragrant zong leaves in a small basin like jade. That piece of green has been swept away by clean water, clean as a piece of jasper.

Everything was ready, but the last step was to wrap dumplings. Grandma was skilled and quickly wrapped rice and leaves together. Sprinkle some faint white sugar and honey on it.

After steaming for a long time, the fragrance was also locked in the green leaves. When Grandma brought it up, we publicized the hands that Grandma had put on the rainbow like small bracelet. We held the two dumplings and sat behind the TV, watching the lively and raging dragon boat race.

In recent years, Grandma has become much older and can no longer make dumplings. We can only buy some dumplings every year, but we always feel that there is less flavor.

The distance between me and Zongxiang was only my grandmother's hands.
