I have loved reading ancient poetry since I was young. Reading more ancient poetry can cultivate our sentiment and enrich our knowledge. I love reading ancient poetry.
Since the beginning of school, I have read a lot of classic poems, such as Du Mu's Tomb Sweeping Day and Li Bai's To Jiang Lun. These ancient poems not only let me appreciate the beauty of classical poetry, but also taught me a lot of truth in life.
My favorite is the philosophic "Compassion to Farmers". "At noon on the day of weeding, sweat drips down from the grain to the soil. Who knows, every meal is hard." This poem reflects the unreasonable feudal social system. As I read this poem, it seemed that the sun was burning in the sky. Farmers' uncles were not afraid of hardship, fatigue, or heat. They were sweating all over their heads. They worked hard to hoe grass and plow. Sweat dripped into the soil.
Who knows that every grain of rice in this plate condenses the labor of farmers! Every grain of rice is hard won! What a touching picture that the farmer uncle weeded the seedlings in the scorching sun in order to let everyone eat delicious rice!
Now that everyone is rich, many people seem to forget that saving is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. For example, when eating in the canteen, I saw some young students were very picky about their food. They ate when they tasted good, and did not eat when they did not taste good. Always dump food into the garbage can. They do not know how to economize and cherish food. Their behavior is wrong.
I want to appeal loudly: let's all cherish every grain of rice and not waste food! Let's all take action, starting from saving a grain of rice, starting from the little things around us, and cherish our happy life today with practical actions!
