My father and mother heard that there was a table tennis match in the Youth Palace, so they didn't hesitate to sign up for me! At that time, I was in a cold sweat!
On the morning of July 24, my parents took me to the Youth Palace, and I arrived at the competition site with a feeling of anxiety! A total of 24 boys signed up, and we were in the knockout game - the best of three games system, winning the top eight. Our boys' group is divided into two areas, A and B, and the first round of elimination competition is held first, and then the top eight round robin competition is held. I was assigned to Area A. Once I got there, the coach asked me to practice with a boy I didn't know before. He really didn't know me until he played. His skills were good! Just then, the referee finally called my name, and I was looking at where my opponent was! Eh? Why not? Didn't you come here? After five minutes, he still doesn't see his opponent, which is considered as automatic abstention! In the first round, I won a big victory! How overjoyed!
The second round began. I went to the battlefield with confidence. We tried to fight each other for several rounds, but his skill was not good! But in an official match, he played really unstoppable! After only playing for about ten minutes, the thrilling match passed with the wind! His unique serve made me unable to stand up to it. I'm willing to give up! The final defeat was 11-3 and 11-5!
It's a pity that I didn't make the top eight this time. The main reason is that I was absent-minded and careless when I practiced serving at ordinary times! Did not really grasp the basic essentials of receiving and serving. My father saw that I was extremely depressed and said, "The most important thing is to participate! In the future, I will practice hard and I will beat them to pieces!" After listening to these words, I felt better!
From this table tennis match, I learned a truth and remembered this lesson: I must play table tennis step by step in the future, it is impossible to learn it, and I must persevere to achieve good results!
