Looking back on Journey to the West, we can't help but see such characters in front of us. The pedantic, stubborn and single-minded Tang Monk, the versatile, selfless and fearless Sun Wukong, the simple, honest, hardworking Lie Bajie, and the hardworking, kind-hearted monk Sha. There are many difficulties and demons on the way to get scriptures from the West. The four masters and apprentices travel across mountains and rivers to get scriptures from the West. Finally, Tang Monk and others sent the Buddhist scriptures back to Chang'an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty, and returned to Lingshan again.
Sanzang was granted the title of Zhantan Merit Buddha, Wukong was granted the title of Dou Defeat Buddha, Bajie was granted the title of Pure Altar Messenger, Monk Sha was granted the title of Golden Luohan, and White Dragon Horse was promoted to the title of Eight Heavenly Dragons, each returning to his own standard and sharing bliss. On the way to learn scriptures, the help of the gods cannot be extinguished. For example, 27 constellations were collected from Kuixing, Manjusri Bodhisattva from demons, and the gods from six eared macaques... The four masters and disciples were very moved by this. After reading Journey to the West, I immediately thought of myself.
In grade one or two, the scores of Chinese and mathematics were 99 or 100 almost every time. But in grade three, the scores began to be unstable. After reading Journey to the West, I thought: I should study harder, instead of being proud after 100 or 99 points, I should learn from Monk Sha's down-to-earth spirit. If you have carefully observed life, you can find that some people give up halfway because of difficulties; Some people cry because of a small setback; Others are jealous and often do things against the natural law.
Will they reflect or repent when they see the story of the four masters and disciples taking scriptures from the West? If Wu Chengen were still alive, I would certainly say, "Thank you for your book, which has taught me the truth of life that I should work steadily!".
