Today, I saw a text "What I want is a gourd" in my Chinese textbook. This text is about a man growing some gourds in front of his house. One day, the leaves of the gourd were covered with aphids. When his neighbor found out, he said to him, "You should give the gourd medicine." But the gourd grower refused to listen and said, "I want the gourd, not the leaves." The aphids grew more and more. Finally, the leaves of the gourd were eaten up by the aphids, and the gourds fell one by one. The gourd grower was very sad.

After reading this text, I learned that if the gourd grower listened to his neighbor, the gourd would not go bad. We should not learn from the people who grow gourds. We should not just see what we want. Maybe other things are closely related to what you want.
