Today is the third day of the National Day holiday. My mother took me to watch the movie Changjin Lake. This film is about the story of the Chinese People's Liberation Army's defense of the motherland.
What impressed me most in the film was that Lei Gong drove his jeep, carrying incendiary bombs, and rushed into the US military camp with dense shells in order to protect his comrades in arms and reduce the casualties of the team, regardless of personal danger. Finally, he was killed by the shells dropped by the US fighter.
Another shocking scene was that many volunteer soldiers were frozen into ice sculptures in the snow and ice in order not to be found by the enemy, and they still kept their fighting posture before dying. This spirit was deeply shocked even the opponents, and the American general saluted their frozen bodies. I cried when I saw this scene
At the end of the war, we won. The great volunteer soldiers sacrificed their precious lives for the motherland, the people, and peace, showing the world our national dignity and our confidence in fearing powerful enemies. Today, in our life, we have good food, tourism and all the comforts, beauty and happiness we have, all because the martyrs once defended their sovereignty with their bodies and spilled their blood on this land. Let's remember this history together, cherish the happy time now, study hard, and strive for a stronger motherland.
