After reading The Story of Empress Leaving the Wall, I felt very different, just like the title. Emperor Yongle and his empress in the book, like cynical childhood sweethearts, grew up together. Too much understanding of each other makes both sides too persistent. It is true that this wall is not the other wall!

Jinxi is really a chivalrous woman and a heroine. Since ancient times, heroes have been matched with beauties, but for a hero like Yongle Emperor, it is only true that a female Xia like Jin Xi must accompany him.

This book has a little overhead feeling. I don't know much about the Queen of Emperor Yongle, and I don't know much about the famous Emperor of the Ming Dynasty. The descriptions of the battle of Jingnan in the book are all from historical books, which is natural for novels. But the characters in the book give people the impression that they are overhead. It is natural that the novel is overhead, but it is really hard to describe the love pattern between Jinxi and Zhu Di. A queen with martial arts skills and an emperor who dotes on his wife can't describe such an empress if it is not overhead.

I have read a lot of palace novels, some are deep, some are funny, some are plain. It is really the first time to read such novels.
