1. Focus with a long focal length. When using a zoom lens, the correct focusing method is to focus with a long focal length first, and then select a suitable focal length for shooting. Because in a long focal length, the image of the subject is the largest and the depth of field is the smallest, which facilitates accurate focusing.
2. Try more for each focal length. Although most photography lovers are extremely concerned about the zoom magnification of the zoom lens, they often use the long focal length lens most in specific use, and some even treat it as a fixed focus telephoto lens. In fact, when you try to use other focal lengths to obtain different pictures, you will find that the zoom lens has considerable potential as a variable viewfinder.
3. Be familiar with the operation of zoom lens. In the early days of zoom lens, zoom and focus were adjusted by two loops respectively. Most zoom lenses have been changed to single loop control, which is characterized by changing the focal length by pushing and pulling the lens back and forth, and focusing by rotating it left and right.
4. Proper use of supports. When using a zoom lens with a focal length of 200mm or longer, the lens should be fixed on a tripod or other support to ensure stability during shooting.
5. Use the filter carefully. Do not add a filter to the zoom lens unless necessary.
