The prepositional object structure mainly acts as adverbial modifier to modify verbs or adjectives.
For example:
A few prepositional structures can be used as complements, such as "working late at night", "sleeping in bed", and prepositional structures cannot be used as predicates.
"Zai, xiang, yu, dao, gei, zi" and so on can be directly attached to the verb or other words to form a whole, equivalent to a verb.
For example:
"Fall on me", "Towards the 21st century", "Depends on your exam results", "Be brave to practice", "Give to the people", "From New York", etc.
