1. Taro planting time: in general, it is sown after the local frost, while in Xinjiang, it is generally sown after the middle of April. If the planting time is too early, it will cause taro seed decay.
2. Seed selection: taro without wound shall be selected. If sprouting occurs on the top, it must be preserved. Generally, the weight of the taro variety selected is about 50g. The round bulb is the most suitable.
3. Accelerating germination: seed drying and accelerating germination of taro, which helps the taro seedlings grow very neatly. The seeds can be dried half a month before sowing, or they can be put into wet sand for germination to preserve the humidity and temperature of taro. The temperature of 18-20 ℃ is the most suitable temperature. The seeds can be sowed when a 1cm long bud grows half a month after germination.
4. Soil: It is planted in a relatively humid environment. It likes to grow in fertile soil. The stem grows in the soil layer. It is necessary to choose a deep clay soil with rich organic matter. The soil ph value should be 5, 5-7, which is suitable for growth.
5. Light: Taro is a kind of plant that is relatively resistant to weak light. Its light requirements are not particularly high. It is most suitable to grow in the environment of scattered light, and can make the bulb more swollen.
6. Fertilization: Taro is not particularly strict with the soil. It is enough to apply some base fertilizer according to the planting area and land preparation.
7. Water content: Both water taro and dry taro like to grow in a humid natural environment. The dry taro requires moist soil during its growth period, especially during the formation of bulbs or vigorous growth period, a large amount of water should be irrigated. When the bulb is formed, it is necessary to spray the groundnut with additional pentylenes, so as to make the duct for transportation thicker, which can improve the yield of taro.
8. Temperature: Taro is suitable for growing at 13-15 ℃ during the bulb germination period, 20-25 ℃ during the seedling period, and 20-30 ℃ during the fruit period. If the temperature difference between day and night is relatively large, it is more conducive to the growth and formation of bulbs. It is suitable to grow at 28-30 ℃ in the daytime and 18-20 ℃ at night.
