The printing medium and working temperature used by the laser printer are different from the ordinary stylus printer in working process, so the laser printer does not have the striking function. Instead, it uses the photoelectric principle to melt the toner into the paper, so the laser printer cannot print wax paper. However, high-quality copy paper and adhesive paper, envelopes, labels and transparencies can all be used as the paper for the laser printer. Another thing to remind us is that the paper used for laser printer must be dry and free of static electricity, otherwise it is easy to jam the paper or cause the printer document to blacken. The printing paper should be stored in an environment with a temperature of 17 ℃~23 ℃ and a relative humidity of 40%~50%, so that the best printing effect can be obtained. The temperature of the room where the printer is placed should be controlled at about 22 ℃, with a relative temperature of 20%~80%, and avoid direct sunlight and chemical erosion. The power voltage of the laser printer should not exceed 10% of the value marked on the printer nameplate.

The correct placement of the laser printer is like the installation of a water heater. The laser printer should not be placed in an unventilated room as far as possible. At the same time, attention should be paid not to let the air outlet of the printer blow directly to the user. If conditions permit, it is better to let the printer directly exhaust the air to the outside. This is because the laser printer will produce ozone in the printing process, and the ozone filter must be replaced every 50000 copies printed. The laser printer self check sample can show how many copies have been printed by the machine, but many users have not noticed this. Although the ozone filter looks very clean at this time, it can no longer filter ozone. Placing the laser printer in a crowded environment, poor ventilation in the room, the printer exhaust port facing the operator's face, and the ozone filter being used for too long will all cause the ozone generated by the printer during the printing process to be harmful to the human body. At this time, the working environment of the printer must be improved and the ozone filter must be replaced in time. In addition, do not place the printer in direct sunlight, overheating, moisture or dust.

Protect the photoreceptor drum. The laser printer will absorb the charged toner on the photoreceptor drum through photoelectric action according to the command sent by the computer, and then print it on the printing paper from the photoreceptor drum, heat the toner, make the toner dissolve into the paper fiber, and complete the printing function. Therefore, the photosensitive drum plays an important role in the whole laser printing process, and the value of a photosensitive drum is generally around 1000 yuan, so the maintenance of the photosensitive drum is more important. When the photosensitive drum is working, the relative humidity should be kept at 20~80%, and the temperature at 10~32.5 ℃. Avoid direct sunlight, and try to achieve constant temperature and humidity. The photosensitive drum is valid for two and a half years when it is unopened, and 6 months after it is unpacked. The drum box is printed with a valid period, which must be used within the valid period. The photosensitive drum shall not be placed in the direct sunlight after being taken out of the aluminum bag package, nor in the indoor light for more than ten minutes, or the printing effect will be affected. During the printing process, sometimes the printer's LCD screen will display information, indicating that the toner in the drum will be used up at this time. You must add toner or replace the drum immediately, or the printed manuscript will become pale and white bars will appear.
