1. Yuanjiang River, also known as Yuanshui River, is the tributary of Dongting Lake in the Yangtze River basin, which flows through Guizhou Province and Hunan Province of China. It is the second largest river in Hunan Province. The Yuanjiang River basin is longer from north to south and narrower from east to west, forming a rectangle from southwest to northeast. There are many tributaries on the left bank, mainly including Chenshui, Wushui and Youshui, and the right bank is mainly composed of canal water, Wushui and Xushui, forming a feather shaped river system;
2. The Xiangjiang River, the Dongting Lake water system in the Yangtze River basin, is the largest river in Hunan Province. It flows through Yongzhou, Hengyang, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, Changsha, and Xiangyin County in Yueyang City to the Dongting Lake, which flows into the Yangtze River water system. It is the most important waterway transportation in China, and also the source of water for industrial and agricultural production and people's life in the city;
3. Zijiang, a tributary of the Yangtze River, is also called Zishui. Zuoyuannan Water originates from Beiqing Mountain in Chengbu Miao Autonomous County, Youyuan Fuyi Water originates from Yuecheng Ridge in Ziyuan County, Guangxi. The two waters meet at the Shuangjiangkou of Shaoyang County and are called Zijiang, flowing through Shaoyang, Xinhua, Anhua, Taojiang, Yiyang and other cities and counties, and flowing into Dongting Lake at Ganxi Port in Yiyang City;
4. Lishui, located in the northwest of Hunan Province, crossing the border between Hunan and Hubei, is one of the four major rivers in Hunan Province, with the highest runoff modulus in the province, and is famous for the rapid rise and fall of floods.
