Argumentation is an examination subject to test the basic abilities that should be possessed in the work of organs. The essay consists of three parts: notes, given materials and response requirements.
（1） The essay (applicable to comprehensive management positions of municipal and district level organs) exam mainly tests the reading comprehension ability, comprehensive analysis ability, ability to propose and solve problems, and writing ability of candidates.
Reading comprehension ability - it is required to comprehensively grasp the content of the given materials, accurately understand the meaning of the given materials, accurately refine the opinions contained in the facts, and reveal the essential problems reflected.
Comprehensive analysis ability - it is required to analyze and summarize all or part of the content, opinions or problems of the given data, think about the content of the data from multiple angles, and make reasonable inference or evaluation.
Ability to propose and solve problems - it is required to find and define problems, make assessments or trade-offs, and propose solutions or measures to solve problems on the basis of understanding and analysis of the given data with the help of their own practical experience or life experience.
Literal expression ability - it is required to skillfully use the designated language, use instructions, statements, comments and other ways to express ideas accurately, normatively, concisely and fluently.
（2） The essay (applicable to the general management position of township and sub district) exam mainly tests the reading comprehension ability, implementation ability, problem solving ability and writing ability of the candidates.
Reading comprehension ability - be able to understand the main contents of the given materials, grasp the relationship between various parts of the given materials, and make appropriate explanations for the opinions and facts involved in the given materials.
Implementation ability - be able to accurately understand the work objectives and organizational intentions, follow the principle of administration according to law, and complete tasks in a timely and effective manner according to the objective reality.
Problem solving ability - analyze the problems reflected in the given data and propose solutions.
Literal expression ability - skillfully use the specified language to accurately and reasonably explain, state or interpret events and opinions.
（3） The essay (applicable to administrative law enforcement positions) exam mainly tests the examinees' reading comprehension ability, ability to handle affairs according to law, public service ability and writing ability.
Reading comprehension ability - accurately understand and summarize the main contents of the given materials, properly explain the opinions and facts involved, and make reasonable inferences.
Ability to handle affairs in accordance with the law - in combination with the reality of front-line law enforcement work, follow the principle of administration in accordance with the law, and comprehensively use appropriate and effective methods to complete tasks, solve problems, and achieve goals.
Public service capability - can fully and accurately understand the public's needs and aspirations, and flexibly use various measures and methods to provide high-quality, efficient and convenient services for the public.
