According to the data of the Conservation Plan of the Convention on Biological Diversity of China, there are 499 kinds of mammals, 1186 kinds of birds, 376 kinds of reptiles, 279 kinds of amphibians and 2084 kinds of fish in China, accounting for 12.5%, 13.1%, 6.0%, 7.0% and 12.1% of the world's similar animal species, respectively.
